By downloading, installing, or using SummarySnap ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

SummarySnap is a text summarization and translation app that uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to generate summaries of text you provide. The App processes all text locally on your device. Features include multiple summary formats and lengths, output language selection across 16 languages, collections, export (PDF, Markdown, plain text), Home Screen widgets, Siri Shortcuts, and Spotlight integration.

Use of the App

You may use SummarySnap for personal and commercial purposes. You are responsible for the text you input and the summaries you generate. You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
Circumvent any usage limitations or security measures
Redistribute or resell the App or its output in bulk

Free and Pro Tiers

SummarySnap offers a free tier with up to 3 summaries per day (including full history, search, favorites, individual export, widgets, and Siri Shortcuts) and a Pro tier available as a one-time in-app purchase. Pro unlocks unlimited summaries, collections, meta-summaries, collection export, and Share Extension access. Features and pricing may change in future versions.

In-App Purchases

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Refund requests must be directed to Apple. We do not process payments directly.

AI-Generated Content

Summaries and translations are generated by an AI model running on your device. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should:

Review all summaries before relying on them for important decisions
Not use summaries as a substitute for reading critical documents (legal, medical, financial)
Understand that summary and translation quality depends on the input text and the AI model's capabilities

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Ingvaldsen Utvikling. You retain ownership of any text you input and the summaries generated from your text.

Device Requirements

SummarySnap requires an Apple device with Apple Intelligence support (iPhone 15 Pro or later, or iPad with M1 chip or later) running iOS 26 or later. The App may not function on unsupported devices.

Disclaimer of Warranties

SummarySnap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that summaries will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ingvaldsen Utvikling shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated summaries or translations.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Oslo, Norway.
